WHAT WE DO
What We Do
Christalis endeavors to provide love and care to children who are victims of various injustices such as poverty, neglect, abandonment, starvation, abuse, and exploitation.
How We Do It
We accomplish this through the Christalis Home and our Child & Family Development Program. These projects are located near Kasese, in the western region of Uganda. Please view our Project's pages for what we provide in each program.
Currently, we care for 22 children in the Home and support 169 children through the Assistance Program. We also support 19 children who we have resettled with their families.
Our goal is to see every child and family that we help become self-sufficient. So far, we have:
cared for a total of 66 children in Christalis home
had 10 of the children from our home graduate with vocational certificates or university degrees
supported a total of 295 children in the community with their education
helped 41 students in the community graduate with secondary diplomas, vocational certificates, or university degrees
provided medical care, emergency baby formula, and special education to 17 children
provided 17 microloans to families
created 3 income-generating projects
