CHILD & FAMILY DEVELOPMENT

What We Provide

After we started our Home, our children would tell us about many of their classmates who were kicked out of school because they could not afford tuition or proper uniforms. Other families who heard about us came looking for assistance for their children and/or assistance with their income. Thus, the Child and Family Development Program was started to provide aid and opportunities for these children.

Our Child and Family Development Program provides tuition, uniforms, and school supplies to children in the community. These children have a home to live in, but their guardians are unable to provide for their needs. In addition to an education, we have been blessed to provide Christmas gifts, medical care, hygienic and household needs to many of the children. We also provide holistic support to families who are in dire poverty by equipping them with the skills and resources needed to come out of their circumstances.

How We Provide It

We use a case management model where each family's needs are assessed and include: physical, financial, social, emotional, and spiritual needs. We then work on helping them increase their income level through education or vocational training, starting a small business, helping them find better jobs and/or places to live, linking them to a support group and local churches, and providing education on nutrition, financial management, hygiene, stewardship, child development, positive thinking, and more.
